The Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin-Salih has called on Kingmakers in the Jirapa traditional area to immediately ensking a new chief after the late Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II, Paramount Chief of Jirapa Traditional Area is laid to rest.
The Minister made the remark when he cut the tape to commission the newly built Jirapa Naa’s palace auditorium.
Dr Bin –Salih was full of praise for the late chief Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II for promoting peace and unity amongst the people and also using his office to facilitate the development of his paramouncy.
He called on other chiefs in the Municipality and beyond to emulate the good example of the late chief Naa Ansoleh Ganaa II to bring development to the people instead of always waiting for the government to do everything for them.
The Minster added that the late Jirapa Naa, lived a fulfilled and selfless life and deserves a befitting funeral and burial as an accomplished statesman and traditional ruler.
He said the occasion will be graced by either the president or vice-president, admonishing that negative acts such as petty squabble and quarrels should be avoided.
He advised the indigenes of the Jirapa traditional area to take a cue from the Gonja traditional area when they had a seamless transition when they lost and installed their chief in a peaceful and manner.
Dr. Bin-Salih said he recommended a swift selection of a new Jirapa Naa for the continuous development of the area and thanked all and sundry for gracing the occasion and wishing them God’s blessings.
The occasion was then climaxed by pump and pageantry amidst traditional drumming, dancing and fanfare.
