The Northern Development Authority (NDA) has handed over a three-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities for the people of Zaghe in the Jirapa Municipality.
The GHC450,000.00 aimed at improving quality education in the area is one of several projects funded through the government’s One million Dollar per Constituency under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Program (IPEP).
The Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa (MCE), Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri in a brief address before the commissioning mentioned that the three-unit classroom block is one of some 126 projects funded through the One million Dollar per Constituency under IPEP in the Upper West Region.
According to the MCE, the NPP government recognizes the importance of education and is doing everything possible to make education accessible and affordable.
He asked the people of Zaghe to support the government by voting for the NPP to break the 8 in the 2024 general elections.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Northern Development Authority, Lawyer Sulley Sambian admonished the community to take care of the school structure.
Lawyer Sambian mentioned that “there is so much of the story of the NPP that we have not been able to tell. I can say that out of about 126 projects that were awarded in this region about 44 of them have been completed but that story has never been told”.
