The Wa East NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Dr. Godfrey Seidu Jasaw has fixed six broken boreholes in some communities in the area.
Dr. Jesaw’s intervention follows an urgent appeal from the communities when he embarked on a tour of the constituency.
The situation has compelled the affected communities such as Motigu and Balazu to rely on stream water to meet their daily water needs.
In an interview on Home Radio’s late afternoon show Tegyaayela, Dr. Jasaw stated that he has repaired six of the boreholes in Motigu, Konta, Sogla, Balazu and Goh.
He indicated that, he spent eight thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 8,000.00) to address the situation.
He added that the situation in Kpalworgu, Gogu, Naaha, Bulee and Loggu has been assessed and will be addressed in due course.
Dr. Jesaw urged the District Assembly to help in the provision of portable drinking water and the maintenance of the water facilities in the district.
